Making progress
about 8 years ago – Sun, Apr 24, 2016 at 11:42:17 PM

Yes, you are getting this email after 2:30 am EST. I'm making progress on shipping and got most of the items out this weekend that did not have artwork lasered on. I'm writing at 2:30 am because I happen to live in one of those areas where good internet doesn't really exist. So, I have satelite internet which only allows you 10gig a month of good speeds which I use up in about a week. Anytime I want to get better than a 56k connection after that (and 56k seems like a stretch most days), I have to get up in the middle of the night to use the internet.

The joys of Appalachian Ohio.

In any case, I got about 10 of the outstanding projects done tonight and will take them to the post office tomorrow. Next week I'm packing up for Indiana Comic Con, so I don't think I'll be doing any shipping then. When I get back, I'm going to start doing the laser work, so I should be able to get some of the shipments out then.

Thanks to all and if you haven't done so already, please take a look at my newest Kickstarter: Critical Hits and Misses Decks.

CRITICAL HIT DECKS NOW LIVE!
about 8 years ago – Mon, Apr 18, 2016 at 06:00:40 PM

I finally worked out the problems with the Critical Hits decks page and it is now live.

The first 24 hours is vital to any project, so please help me spread the word. Share this link with all your friends on Facebook, Twitter or anywhere else you post.

Thanks so much for all your help.

Shipping this week
about 8 years ago – Sun, Apr 17, 2016 at 11:58:52 PM

So, I finally got everything working great again. Planer is up, CNC is up, warm outside, finishing is going well...fingers crossed from here on out.

I've gotten a crap load (that is the official term) of cases cut this week. I'm cutting tons of them in bulk so that I have enough for Indiana Comic Con, Ratha Con, and Origins...all of which are coming up soon.

So now that I have a crap-load of cases (I'm telling you...that is the OFFICIAL term), I'm going to start going through tomorrow, putting orders together, and getting them out. I don't know if I'll have everything out this week, but I'm going to do my best to make a big dent in the outstanding orders.

Next up is my next project Critical Hits. I wanted to launch today, but Kickstarter has changed something in the verification process and I'm stuck for now. I hope to have it up tomorrow at the latest...I sure hope they aren't going on some 5-7 day process.

If you haven't taken a look, or even if you have, take another look now. I've added a video and done some price adjusting. I'd greatly appreciate you helping me spread the word.

Back in production
about 8 years ago – Tue, Apr 12, 2016 at 03:07:19 PM

Wanted to let everyone know that I have the CNC back up and running. Got it going yesterday and it has been churning out MONKS and BARDS since about 1:00 yesterday with no problems (yet). I think we are past this particular problem, at the least.

So, I've already cut most of the items needed to finish the order. Sanding/Finishing will take a few days yet, but I should be back to shipping next week.

If you have not finished your survey PLEASE DO SO NOW. I'm super-crazy busy right now between catching up with everything, getting stock ready for shows, and launching my latest kickstarter next week, not to mention the whole "life" thing...you know...wife, kids, coaching softball... So bottom line, if you don't fill out your survey, I don't know what you want and I'm not going to make it a priority to find out. Sorry if that comes off as harsh, but help a fellow out here....finish your survey so I can get you your cases. I'll send out reminders to those who haven't finished it yet. Please get them in.

That is all

So, here's the news
about 8 years ago – Sat, Apr 09, 2016 at 05:12:21 PM

While I really do like my CNC machine, I have to say that the customer service for it is really lacking. After finally figuring out what I need, I contacted the manufacturer for the replacement part and he said he'd get it in the mail the next day. 3 days later (with no part) I drop him a line. "oh...ya...I put that in the mail yesterday," he says.

I could almost hear him packing up the part and putting it in the box at the time even through email.

So I got the part today. No instructions with the part...just the part. I'll send him another message today requesting a little more info before I try this out. But worst case, I'll have it install on Monday, cuz one way or the other I'm getting this sucker to work.

I apologize for the delay. You have no idea how bad I've been wanting to finish this project up. I've got big shows coming up in the next six weeks and don't have nearly the stock I wanted to have ready for the shows. I see a lot of late nights in my future trying to play catch-up.

fingers crossed.
